This year, Equimundo is co-hosting the Sexual Violence Research Initiative (SVRI) Forum 2017 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on September 18–21. Held for the first time in Latin America and the Caribbean, the SVRI Forum 2017 will bring together over 450 researchers, gender activists, funders, policymakers, service providers, practitioners, and survivors from around the world who are working to understand, prevent, and respond to sexual and intimate partner violence.
The SVRI Forum aims to provide a platform for showcasing research and innovation in the field, enabling participants to learn about new and tested interventions on how to end sexual violence, intimate partner violence, and child abuse and maltreatment. The event will include abstract-driven presentations, meetings, plenary and networking sessions, poster presentations, parallel events, and more.
The SVRI Forum 2017 is co-hosted by Equimundo, the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO), and Fiocruz/Instituto Fernandes Figueira (Fiocruz/IFF).
