Beginning November 25, thousands of organizations around the world have joined together for the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence (GBV) Campaign, to advocate and take action. The campaign runs from November 25 to December 10 and aims to raise awareness, strengthen local and national programs, and advocate for government policies to eliminate all forms of violence against women.

The theme of this year’s campaign is “From Peace in the Home to Peace in the World: Make Education Safe for All!” and will focus specifically on the right to education in situations of conflict, and the role that patriarchal militarism plays in causing and perpetuating GBV.

This year, Equimundo is leading and co-hosting social media efforts to address ways that communities, individuals, and institutions can help to change attitudes and end violence against women and children at home and in school. Equimundo’s Youth Living Peace program is also featured in the Global Working Group to End School-Related Gender-Based Violence’s 2016 Call to Action.

See below how you can join us on social media during the 16 Days of Activism, and follow us on Facebook and Twitter to like, share, and retweet your support.
