Our Programs

Over the past two decades, Equimundo has partnered with local, national, and international entities to design, test, and scale gender-transformative programs to engage men and boys in gender equality. As a technical partner, Equimundo does not implement programs itself, but works closely with partners to strengthen their capacities to implement such programs. We strongly value equitable partnerships with organizations who are aligned with our feminist, intersectional, and social justice approach.

About our approach

Based in our research and vast programmatic experience, we design programs for men and boys to foster attitudes and behaviors that support gender equality, while also creating more inclusive and safe cultures in their schools, health centers, and workplaces.

Our programs traditionally include in-person curricula and experiential activities with a small group of people and can be designed for a wide range of audiences, with some designed for mixed-gender groups, and others more suitable for single-gender groups. Our newer programmatic work has included co-creating innovative programs that go beyond curricula and leverage digital delivery methods and non-traditional engagement models.

Our gender-transformative methodologies have been adapted to many diverse cultural, country, and population-based contexts over the years. We have open source programs online – and you’re free to use them. As with most curricula, adaptations is often necessary – and almost always requested by our partners – to ensure the content and its delivery are relevant, useful, and effective.

Children
(Age 4-12)

Our evidence-based curricula for children focus on topics including gender stereotypes to promote healthy relationships among themselves and the adults in their lives.

Teens and Young Adults
(Age 13-25)

Equimundo creates programs to work with boys, young men, and youth of all gender identities to promote diverse, gender-equitable, and healthy masculinities.

Adults

Our adult-focused curricula engage men as nurturing, gender-equitable and non-violent caregivers and partners, and as male allies in the workplace.
